Born and raised in North Carolina, Betsy Steed went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for painting. After college, she moved to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design for Graphic Design. She lived in New York for sixteen years working as a graphic designer, photo retoucher, and floral designer. She moved to Durham in January 2023 with her husband, 3-year-old son, and dog. She currently is a freelancer.
